Strawberries, Balsamic and Mascarpone Appetizer


1 Pint sliced strawberries, remove the green

1 long baguette, better with fruit and nuts

1 Small Container mascarpone cheese, in cheese section of grocery store

Honey, to taste, about  1 Tbps

Drizzle Balsamic Vinegar - use any flavor you want, better with fruit flavors

Garnish with mint leaves, optional


In a small bowl mix the mascarpone with honey and set aside. Slice baguette on an angle, toast if desired. Wash and slice strawberries. Layer the baguette with mascarpone, then strawberries, then balsamic.  Can be served at room temperature but better if a little chilled.
